guiVAtar 1 is a for a long time planned project now realised. First, as the title implicates, of a row of guitar dominated tracks, picked from other albums (or album projects) of mine or just from recordings along the way. Predominant: the experiment.

Dionysos Resurrection is the last track of my eponymous album, which will be released soon.

Watch the video (this is the short version of it. The full version will (hopefully!) soon be available for purchase in form of a USB stick - or a DVD in the merch section here on bandcamp.

Dionysos Resurrection is a (tentative) response to the loss of sense and sensuality through the restoration (birth) of innate drives, growth potentials, ecstatic qualities and, if you like, a new edition of existentialist appropriation of life par excellence, in the sense of Friedrich Nietzsche and in the continuation in the sense (once assumed ;-) of French existentialism (perhaps Camus more than Sartre).

As a means to an end, I have linked, edited, alienated, superimposed a number of royalty-free short videos and connected them here and there with video recordings of my game on the guitar in my 'Dionysos Wizdom Theater'. The game itself: often slightly shifted to the sound, up to slow motion, which in turn takes place contrary to the represented time-lapse growth of various flowers and plants. Another contrast, which plays an immense role precisely in our human existence: the interweaving of organic with mechanical, and in the continuation with digital energies - also here: Beyond good and evil.

The guitar follows in ecstatic alternation its own dream perception and relentlessly driving rhythm. Guarantied no drugs needed - extasy as a gift of life itself ;-)
