They came from Inner Space. No purpose. No intention Just a seemingly natural expression of richness, liveliness, being Carefully they sat down on my senses Placing a drop of awareness On everyone of them I inhaled the scent of their sparkling emanation I exhaled the enticing vision of their colour perception I heard deep mumbling sounds out of the roots below I heard brightly waving and softly trembling sounds and voices Out of the air, touching my skin I heard a slow bubbling in expectation out of the clouds And other songs were falling softly on me From the high crowns of the deciduous trees There was nothing to expect - nothing to remember My pulse followed the rhythm of the wind waves My pulse followed the rhythm of the wind waves My pulse followed the rhythm of the wind waves Moving towards another horizon Of slowly vibrating red an’ green an' yellow One plunging into the other Reflecting in a vast crystalline lake of blue Whose boundaries were only imaginable And so I imagined And the images were flowing into my closed eyes Swirling through my brain Through my torso Through my legs and my feet to the tips of my toes Dancing up, rising to the sun Fractions of grass-scented mist Freed themselves from the wet ground And slowly escaped from the eyes Into descending rays of vibrant light And the daydream of a circling eagle sucked me up - high and higher The willows far below fell rapidly into shadows and night As I fell into the dark eye of the dreaming eagle And I crossed another darkness made of deep metallic murmur Words that had no meaning, other than the sounds Echoing in the puzzled ear A teardrop fell out of my eye A small light out of the middle of the teardrop fell with it Into the abyss, gently shining my way And I followed - and it whispered Fall and follow! - like a falling arrow Aiming somewhere - aiming nowhere Gliding through time, space and nought Core, flesh and skin of a crystalline thought And darkness broke out into a myriad of lights Into a myriad of stars Into countless division In devision united In union enlightened In gracefully luminous difference of life Dissolving and drowning all anger and hate In an ocean of care overcoming all fate
